Engineering

Mandate: Develop and maintain district infrastructure (roads, water, sanitation). Scope: Engineering works, construction, and maintenance projects across wards. The Engineering Department at Umzingwane Rural District Council is responsible for the development, maintenance, and management of essential public infrastructure and services within the district. The department oversees road construction and maintenance, water supply systems, public buildings, drainage systems, sewer infrastructure, and other community development projects aimed at improving the quality of life for residents. Through effective infrastructure planning and maintenance, the department plays a key role in supporting service delivery, economic development, and public safety across the district.
